My name is Bob Bergren. I am serving as Speaker of the House for the 61st Montana State Legislature. This is my 4th term, serving since 2004. It's been my great honor to represent House District 33 and I am pleased to carry on my work on issues including rural economic development, affordable health care, and energy production.
I've lived in Havre all my life. I graduated from Havre High and attended MSU-Northern. I’ve been married to my Julie for 24 years and we have 2 children, Bobby and Shannon. Julie and I own Julie's Hallmark and Antiques. I also worked for the Havre Fire Department as a firefighter and EMT for 21 years prior to retiring in 2006. I look forward to hearing from you throughout the Montana Legislative Session. Contact me anytime.

Issues

Economic Development

Create more high-paying jobs with benefits, promote small business growth and increase marketing of Montana made products.

New Energy Markets

Invest in alternative energy sources such as wind and bio-diesel to open new job markets for rural Montana and lower energy costs for Montana families.

Education

Keep education our top priority in the State Budget, recruit and retain quality teachers, and ensure funding for programs at MSU Northern.

Health Care

Fight for affordable, accessible health care for all Montana families. Expand health insurance coverage to more low-income children across Montana.
